Work from anywhere

What have we learned from COVID? We can meet remotely. We can attend church remotely. We can take fitness classes remotely. We can work from home and avoid traffic. It is true that some experiences are better in person, no doubt. But just because we can’t be there in person doesn’t mean we have to miss out completely. Oh, and some things are actually better at home.

Do you have a home office? Architecture is going to change as a result of the pandemic.

For a lot of people, working remotely is far preferable to commuting to work. And for some, working from anywhere, anytime is the ultimate goal. Of course, that isn’t possible in all fields, or even most. But hear me out.

People talk about being financially independent. It’s equally important to be time independent. A lot of people who are financially independent continue to work, whether they need to or not. But wouldn’t it be nice if we could work whenever and wherever we want?

As I write this, I know that this is not feasible for a lot of people, or even most. But it is something to work towards. So, if you are tied to a job and would rather have more financial and time freedom, what can you do to free yourself? Can you work extra hours and use the extra money to pay off debt so that your expenses aren’t so high? This will make you less dependent on a job. Can you get a raise? Or a better job? Yes, it’s true that this will take time, but it will pay off in the long run.

Are you living to work or working to live?

Cloud storage: one of the advantages of digital files is it allows you mobility. When you’re not tied to physical things, you can literally take your music, your photos, your paperwork, and your actual work with you and go wherever you want.
