Screen Time

What’s your “screen time”? Many of us now get reports every Sunday morning telling us how much time we spent staring at our phone the previous week. And many of us cringe when we see the report because it becomes clear just how much time we’re wasting on social media, playing games, etc. You don’t need a lecture, you know most of this time is not productive. Yes, it might help us unwind – maybe. For a lot of people, they get more stressed when they look at social media because there are so many problems in the world today that seem like there’s no way to fix. Either way, much of this time could be better spent on other tasks.

For those of you who want to write a book – and there are a lot of aspiring writers out there – you could probably write a book in a few months if you’d put down the phone and pick up the laptop. Maybe you’re not a writer. Is there some other long-term project you could wrap up if you had an extra hour or two a day to work on it? Well guess what – you may just have an extra hour or two a day if you’re only willing to spend your time a little differently.

Even if you don’t have any long-term projects you’d like to take on, you could certainly divert some of your screen time to some of your other to do items. Right?

It seems that everybody is always staring at their phone wanting to be somewhere else or do something else. We need to live in the moment; if we don’t, that moment passes us by.

Betty White Facebook a huge waste of time. She was right.

Do you know anyone who doesn’t own a TV?
