Death is certain, so we should prepare for it. How do you want to be remembered when you die? What do you want them to say about you in your eulogy? People ask that question when talking about how you spend your time because, obviously, if you spend your time well you’ll be remembered well. But part of the reason that people are remembered fondly when they die is because they live their lives as their authentic selves and it’s easier to be your authentic self if you can do what you want when you want and where you want and how you want.
Some people are celebrated because of their longevity, like Tom Brady, Willie Nelson, the Rolling Stones. Others are celebrated because of how much they crammed into such a short period of time, like Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison (27 year club – Amy Winehouse, Janice Joplin) or Buddy Holly.
